Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation - Standard Chartered Arts in the Park 2024: Auditions for RAW A Cappella Team Singers

Calling all talented, lively a cappella singers and beatboxers aged 10 to 25!

Do you have a passion for music and a desire to perform on stage? If so, don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to be part of HKYAF’s very own a cappella group RAW and perform at Standard Chartered Arts in the Park 2024 – the city’s largest outdoor youth arts event!

Performers will work with professional singing coach Astrid Lui in two teams of singers and beatboxers. Rehearsals take place every Sunday afternoon from early September to December, with Standard Chartered Arts in the Park performances on either 30 November and 1 December or 7 and 8 December (date to be confirmed).

Whether you’re an experienced performer or an enthusiastic beginner, we would love to meet you!

To apply, simply complete the application form and submit it with an audition video as detailed below.

Applicants will receive an email confirming their audition slot by 4 June. Until then, please keep the whole day free in your schedule.

Please note: If you are a past member of RAW you are not required to submit an audition video. Simply submit the application form to receive an invitation to the in-person auditions on 9 June.

Audition Process

Round 1: Video Auditions
Application deadline: 31 | 05 | 2024

Complete the online application form and submit a one- to two-minute video* of yourself either singing (without music) or performing beatboxing/vocal percussion (with music) to a pop song of your choice.

*Please provide a sharable link for your submitted video (YouTube, Google Drive, Dropbox) and name the video with your full name.

Round 2: In-person Auditions
Date: 09 | 06 | 2024
Time: 9am – 5pm
Venue: HKYAF Studio (Quarry Bay)

Shortlisted applicants will receive an email confirming their audition time slot by 4 June 2024. Individual auditions last 60 minutes.

Those auditioning as singers will receive sheet music to learn before the audition. Those auditioning as beatboxers will be asked to prepare a beatbox accompaniment to a specific song.
